Carbon Rim Warranty and Damage Replacement Policy
Our carbon rims adhere to our policy of providing the best product we can at an attainable price point backed up with the best possible service. We have tried and tested our carbon rims, but, as we all know, accidents do happen, and we therefore have a warranty and replacement policy to help keep you riding in the event of a mishap.
Five Year Carbon Rim Warranty
We will warranty new carbon rims for a period of 5 years against defects in materials or workmanship. A product determined by Lyne Components to be defective will be repaired or replaced, at our sole discretion, free of charge. See warranty conditions below.
Five Year Carbon Rim Crash Replacement Programme
We will replace crash-damaged carbon rims with an equivalent rim at the time of an incident at a cost of 50% of the current retail price of the rim. This offer excludes the cost of re-building the wheel which is to be arranged by the customer with Lyne Components or an authorised dealer. See crash-replacement conditions below.
Warranty Procedure
Retain proof of purchase of your carbon rim then follow this process in the event of a warranty claim:
- Inform Lyne Components or the authorised dealer from whom you purchased your carbon rim as soon as possible after noticing a defect.
- Lyne Components will contact you to arrange a repair or replacement of the defective carbon rim should the claim be valid.
Crash Replacement Procedure
Retain proof of purchase of your carbon rim then follow this process in the event of a crash replacement:
- Return your damaged wheel to Lyne Components or the authorised dealer from whom you purchased your carbon rim.
- Lyne Components or your authorised dealer will quote for the cost of replacing the rim, including labour and other components such as spokes and hub, etc. if necessary.
Warranty and Crash Replacement Conditions
Lyne Components’ warranty and crash replacement applies to the original owner and is not transferrable.
Warranty does not cover the following:
- Carbon rims without proof of purchase.
- Damage sustained during shipment.
- Products on which the decals, serial numbers, production lot codes or other identifying marks have been removed.
- Normal wear and tear, misuse, incorrect installation or improper maintenance, use of incompatible parts or components, accident or crash damage, negligence and modifications not recommended or approved by Lyne Components.
- Shipping costs to Lyne Components or the authorised dealer.
- Labour costs associated with removing the wheels and any associated components including but not limited to rotors, tyres, cassette, computer magnets, etc. from the bicycle or wheel.
- Any representation or warranty expressed or implied by the authorised dealer beyond the provisions of this stated policy.
Crash replacement does not cover the following:
- Carbon rims without proof of purchase.
- Products on which the decals, serial numbers, production lot codes or other identifying marks have been removed.
- Normal wear and tear, misuse, incorrect installation or improper maintenance, use of incompatible parts or components, negligence and modifications not recommended or approved by Lyne Components.
- Damage determined by Lyne Components to be cosmetic only.
- Shipping costs to or from Lyne Components or the authorised dealer.
- Labour costs associated with removing the wheels and any associated components including but not limited to rotors, tyres, cassette, computer magnets, etc. from the bicycle or wheel.
- Labour costs of stripping and re-building the wheel and other components such as spokes and hub, etc. if necessary.
